High chair and trying to roll over

CJ isn't eating any food yet, but we felt bad that he wasn't sitting with us when we eat dinner so I went ahead and put together his "high chair". It is actually a cool chair that hooks onto the regular chair, reclines, has a tray and will convert into a booster seat when he's old enough.

Tonight was the first night he sat in it and he was all about watching Camille.




CJ rolled over from his stomach to his back a couple of times last night. I tried to catch it on video today, but he didn't want to cooperate so here is a video of him just hanging out on his belly. He was watching Camille play with a cool a new book (Safari Animals) she got today at the book fair.

Bumbo

OK, it is confession time. The Bumbo is the reason I wanted to have another child. Of course I'm kidding, but I really did look forward to having a Bumbo and am so excited that CJ can sit in it now. He's always had such good head control that he probably could have done it sooner, but I've been holding out.

2 months old

CJ is 2 months old now. We can't believe it. He is "talking" more and we're getting some smiles out of him. At his check up he weighed 12lbs 8oz and was 22.5in long so he is certainly growing. I got a little camera happy the other day, but I thought they were fun so here are lots of pictures.

In his crib

Now that CJ is 6 weeks old we moved him from the bassinet/swing in our room to the crib in his bed last night. He did pretty well but it was hard for me not having him right there.

Milestone

CJ was 6 weeks old yesterday - were has the time gone?

CJ had a couple of milestones today. Clark saw CJ smile on 3/12 and then I saw him smile today! It was such a special moment for me - made my heart skip a beat.

Also, he rolled from his back to his side on his activity mat. Fun, fun, but I still think he is growing up too fast.

First bottle and eczema

Since I'm headed back to work on April 2nd we decided to go ahead and give CJ a bottle in case he didn't take to it well. That way we'd have time to get him used to it. It was NOT a problem. I guess he figured it tasted the same as mommy so who cares.

Also, we thought he had baby acne (as you can see in the pictures), but it kept getting worse so I took him to the doctor today and it turns out he has eczema that has gotten infected. We had to put him on an antibiotic and we are hoping that will clear it up. We are also hoping it is not a food allergy (through the breast milk).






Poor baby! I took this picture to be able to compare it when we go back to the doctor this week. Luckily it doesn't seem to be bothering him.

New activity mat

CJ has a new activity mat. He seems to really like it.


Tummy time!


He was enjoying it until he got the hiccups.

I think this is my favorite. Can you tell that his cheeks are starting to fill out!!

One month old

CJ will be one month old tomorrow (3/10). I can NOT believe it has been a month already. He is staying awake more during the day and is growing like a week. He was 7lbs 9oz when he was born and weighed 9lbs 12oz today. At his two week appointment he had already grown 1.5 inches. We didn't measure him today just weighed him on the sly while Camille was getting her allergy shot.
